  1. Hi Martin
Mark and I are becoming increasingly despairing of your second floor building opposite our house! what was a seemingly attractive project is becoming a great source of concern to us and will probably lessen our enjoyment of living in our home here.
Firstly, you could not have done more to alert neighbours to your plans and this was much appreciated but we are not builders/architects and had much more on our minds than your project at the time of viewing. That said, we are responsible for taking time to understand the development and have little power to do anything now. We do feel it necessary to voice our concerns though.

The second floor totally blocks the light from the front of our house, your view into our front bedroom, loft, loft bathroom as perfectly depicted by your photo 7/10 is very intrusive indeed.
Our lovely little garden, in which we enjoy many summer meals was secluded and had a big sky view between the houses, this is now completely overlooked by your building which also blocks all sky/light from view.

The edifice of the live/work unit is huge and not at all in keeping with the architecture of the surrounding homes. While you have gained much and a great view from the top, we have lost privacy, a feeling of openness and a lot of light.
We would not wish to create any friction over this issue as it is too late for us to have any impact now, but feel it is better to voice our feelings clearly rather than let things fester. We are good at accepting what is as life is too short to create a neighbourly feud over such things and we also value you as a neighbour. We do though wonder how much the impact on other peopl'e homes was considered in your design. I feel for the homes opposite in Edgeware Rd who will face a red brick block of flats, which is what it now looks like.
